Bona Fact – is an area of contemporary art in Tashkent for creating a mobile, open, presentation – discussion space dealing with problems of contemporary art, education, disclosure of creativity, marketing territory of city.I. Background to the project. Tendency to use old industrial spaces, warehouses and barracks, started in 70 – ies in London and New York, where artists have found a cheap and huge space for their activities. In the 80 – ies in England started big disputes over the future of these vast industrial areas, inherited in the 19th century from industrial revolution. As a result, many of these complexes is attributed to the "national industrial heritage" and protected from destruction.
At the same time, programs were introduced to restore "industrial heritage". During the following years the huge EU funds have been spent on it to turn the abandoned factories and warehouses to the centers of culture and creativity. Over the years, this approach to industrial buildings is becoming more popular, and the nature of such initiatives – commercial. These sites have completely changed its appearance. For example, many of them turned into shopping centers, fashionable restaurants and entertainment complexes.
